Why We Built This Site
Shelby County has several separate record routes. The Sheriff’s Office operates the public Warrant Information System and Fugitive Bureau; General Sessions Criminal Clerk handles its docket; Criminal Court Clerk serves felony and indicted cases; city courts keep local citation files. Tennessee has no complete public statewide warrant search. A check at one office cannot settle a question held by another, so the pages connect the official channels and explain what each can confirm.
What You Will Find Here
- Missed court: where to ask about a bench warrant and a recall request
- Local court records: how municipal warrants differ from county process
- Search channels: how a warrant search uses the Sheriff’s portal and court clerks
- Arrest process: how arrest warrants relate to probable cause, service, and bond
- Traffic matters: how to follow a traffic warrant from citation to court confirmation
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference resource, not a Tennessee court, sheriff’s office, or government agency. It cannot perform the official work of those offices:
- We do not decide whether a warrant exists or remains active
- We cannot take payment, post bond, or arrange a surrender
- We do not set hearings or change a court docket
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear process in an official system
- We cannot advise how a charge or warrant applies to a person’s case
- We cannot promise that every listed contact, fee, or procedure remains current
For a current status, ask the issuing court or the Sheriff’s Fugitive Bureau. The judge controls recall or quash decisions, and an online entry can lag behind a court action.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes run by outside providers. Those firms set their terms, pricing, and results. A paid signup may generate a referral fee that supports the site, but neither a sponsored result nor a partner report is an official Shelby County warrant confirmation.
